Wayne Horvitz offers lessons in his Seattle studio or via Skype. Weekly or bi-weekly lessons are available in piano, improvisation, and composition. Additionally, lessons are available for composition and career development (grant-writing, commissions, career counseling, etc). These lessons usually take place within a limited time period (1-3 consultations). He is available for clinics on any of these topics at colleges and high schools.

Little Pieces for the Piano is a book of Wayne Horvitz’s compositions written for the piano student in mind. Appropriate for beginning or intermediate piano students.
For a limited time: During school and work closures due to the coronavirus, Wayne has released Little Pieces as a free PDF. This release will be partnered with a newly-composed series of pieces, intended almost entirely for beginning- and intermediate-level players; these new compositions will be posted regularly, also for free, and the PDF will be updated as time permits. You can download the PDF and sign up to be notified about the new pieces here.
Horvitz is an active educator in the Seattle area; he teaches composition, improvisation, and electronic music at Cornish College of the Arts. He is the director of Seattle JazzED‘s New Works Ensemble.
